Overview

Dalhousie is a small hill resort town in Himachal Pradesh, nestled amidst pine-clad valleys and snow-clad mountain, this sleepy little hamlet is an ideal destination for people who look forward for a quiet and serene place to de-stress. Honeymooners have been frequent here for its picturesque views and romantic weather. This hill retreat, left behind by the British, has several colonial mansions, which are converted into boutique hotels, schools and some are with the army cantonment. There is nothing much to do here, rather walk along the ridge road, enjoy the warmth of sunshine, freshness of crisp clear air and relax. One can visit places like Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary, Rang Mahal, Tibetan Rock Paintings, British-era churches and the Khajjiar Lake. Far from the maddening crowd Dalhousie is a place worthy to spend some time.

By road: Dalhousie is very well linked by roads with different parts of the state. Dharamshala 127 kms, Manali 360 kms, Shimla 336 kms

By rail: Pathankot (PTK) is the nearest train station to Dalhousie, at a distance of 84 kms and is well connected to other cities of the country.

By air: Nearest airport to Dalhousie is Gaggal airport at Dharamshala which is at the distance of 135 km and other one is Amritsar (ATQ) which is also 110 km far from Dalhousie.
