The blue city in eastern Rajasthan, Bundi is a destination with a serene civilization far from the crowd. Bundi has attracted creative people from far & wide for its serenity & placidity. Writer of The Jungle Book, Rudyard Kipling, film maker Satyajit Ray, Noble prize winner Rabindra Nath Tagore and many others loved the place and drew inspirations, for their creative journeys. The town was named so after Meena Chieftain Bunda. The place is famous for miniature paintings and the aesthetic step-wells (Baori). The narrow lanes with traditional houses, the bazaars, temples, lakes, hills and the at-peace lifestyle of the dwellers give this place a bonded community life, where a tourist is also treated like extended family. The famous Bundi Murals attracts the art lovers. The Bundi Utsav – a cultural fest (October or November) enlivens this quite town with music, dance, fireworks, and more. Exploring the Bundi Palace, Taragarh Fort, Shikar Burj & Jait Sagar, Phool Sagar and the 32 Step-wells is worthy to visit on a India day tour of the city.

By road: Regular bus services are there to connect Bundi to other cities. State, public and private transport facility can availed to reach Bundi

By rail: Bundi is connected to other cities by Bundi railway station (BUDI), which is 2kms from the city. It is connected to the other major touristic cities of north India.

By air: The nearest International and domestic airport is Jaipur which is around 220 kms and Udaipur at a distance of 263 kms from Bundi. Jaipur airport is very well connected by the rest of the country.
