Aurangabad in Maharashtra came to limelight as the capital city of Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb. How to visit:

By road: Aurangabad is the nearest Air point for Ajanta. It can be reached from New Delhi and Mumbai (Bombay), international airport.

By rail: Jalgaon junction is the railway station to visit Ajanta caves. It is centre point of all major railway stations of India and has Bhusaval (Just 28kms from Jalgaon) as second largest depot of railways in entire Asia.

By air: Aurangabad is well connected by good motorable road with Mumbai. Several luxury and State run bus services ply between Mumbai and Aurangabad. Aurangabad lies at a distance of 214 Kms from Pune, 218 Kms from Nasik, 402 Kms from Indore (402 km) and 403 Kms from Mumbai. The distance of other cities from Aurangabad are Daulatabad (13Kms), Shirdi (130 Kms), Jalgaon (194 Kms), Mandu (335 Kms) and Sholapur (324Kms).
