How to visit:
By Ship: Regular passenger ship services are available to Port Blair from Chennai, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam and back. The voyage takes about 50 to 60 hours and this ship berths at Port Blair for two to four days. Three to four ships sails every month from Kolkata and Chennai to Port Blair and vice-versa and one sailing for Visakhapatnam in a month.
By air: Port Bair airport Veer Savarkar (IXZ), is connected with Chennai, Kolkata, New Delhi and Bhubaneswar by air. All the major India airlines operate regular flights.
