Day 01 : Arrive - Delhi

Today you arrive at Delhi international airport to start your Golden Triangle tour organised by the team of Max Holidays India. Airport pick-up and escorted transfer to your hotel is arranged and the room is blocked in the hotel for your stay. Spend the night in the hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi sightseeing

Delhi the capital city of the largest democracy in the world is known for the contrast in history, culture and lifestyle of its people. Today after you finish your breakfast, at designated time schedule we will start our sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Start the day with a visit the famous Sikh Temple Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. Proceed to Old Delhi and we ride on a cycle rickshaw here from the front of Red Fort to explore the busy and crowded markets of Chandni Chowk (Silver street). Visit the India’s largest mosque ‘Jama Masjid’ which has the capacity of over 25,000 devotees to pray at one given time. From here we now proceed to Raj Ghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, father of the nation and ambassador for world peace.

Take a slow drive through the beautiful streets in the VVIP area of Delhi. Drive past through the war memorial of India Gate, beautiful President Palace and other government buildings nearby.

Have your lunch in a city restaurant near India Gate or at Chore Bizzare restaurant and then visit Lodhi’s Tomb, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar and Bahai’s Temple (Lotus Temple).

Evening you will be dropped at your hotel for comfortable night stay in the hotel.

Day 03 : Delhi – Agra

After breakfast in the hotel restaurant, pack your luggage and meet with our driver in the lobby of your hotel. Today you are leaving for your next destination on your Golden Triangle tour.

After a comfortable 3-4 hours drive we reach our next destination, Agra which is known for Taj Mahal and many other historic monument in the city dating back to Mughal Dynesty.

Upon arrival check into your hotel and start sightseeing tour of Agra with a visit to gorgeous Taj Mahal. The most beautiful monument ever built for love, Taj Mahal is a true architectural masterpiece built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife who died while giving birth to his 14th child. It took over 20,000 labor and 23 years to complete this white marble structure. Today Taj Mahal is an iconic structure in India which attracts many thousand travellers every year from all around the world.

Also visit Agra Fort, a red sandstone structure on the right side of the river Yamuna. Agra Fort has a number of sites to be visited inside the monument. Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khaas, Mosque etc are the majour attractions inside the fort. Also visit Itmad-Ud-Daulah which is situated on the other side of the river. This magnificient monument is often referred as ‘Baby Taj’ as it is considered to be the draft of Taj Mahal.

Day 04 : Agra - Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur

Early morning, we will visit the “Monument of Love” - Taj Mahal which symbolize eternal love frozen in white marble built by Mughal emperor Shahjahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz.. Taj Mahal speaks of the eternal love of Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaj in whose memory this symmetrical marble structure was erected to keep his love alive forever.

After breakfast at hotel, we will drive to Jaipur. On the way to Jaipur, just about 30 kms off Agra we will stop at Fatehpur Sikri which is a beautiful walled city (now deserted) built by Mughal Emperor Akbar on the site where Sufi Saint Salin Chishti had predicted the birth of his son Jahangir. After ruling from here for about 15 years Mughals abandanoned the city due to acute lack of water. The city offers many beautiful sites including the mosque which is is said to be a copy of the mosque in ‘Mecca’. Later after visiting Fatehpur Sikri we continue our journey to Jaipur.

Upon arrival in Jaipur, check into your hotel. Spend some leisurely time before we leave for a theme evening visit to Chokhi Dhani ethnic village restaurant which is situated 12 kms out of Jaipur city. At Chokhi Dhani you will enjoy watching folk dances, magic shaow and many other Rajasthani village activities. One can also enjoy a short elephant ride, camel ride, bullock cart ride inside the village at his cost. Rajasthani dinner is served complimentary inside the village for the visitors. Though it is a must experienced activity in Jaipur, one need to be careful as the food may be too spicy.

Day 05 : Jaipur sightseeing

The day starts with an excursion to Amer Fort. Amer was the ancient capital of Jaipur. It is situated atop the Aravalli hills overlooking the Jaipur city. Ascend the fort on a decorated elephant's back in a royal style. Those who do not wish to take a ride on elephant may opt for a jeep transfer from the foothill to the gate of the fort.

After Amer Fort we visit the grand Jaigarh Fort which overlooks the Amer Fort from the promontory called ‘Cheel Ka Teela’. Jaigarh Fort is a majestic stronghold of Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh II who built this fort to protect Amer Fort from any possible attack. The two forts Amer Fort and Jaigarh fort are connected through subterranean passages. A part of this palace is a now a museum, containing three wings of Armory, Textiles and Artifacts.

Also visit Hawa Mahal, City Palace Museum and Jantar Mantar Observatory.

Evening is at leisure to explore the local vicinity at your own. Jaipur offers the world famous handicrafts, silver and gold jewellery, precious and semi-precious stones, beads and jewellery, blue pottery products, carpets and textiles which are the most preferred ethnic items by visitors. Day 06 : Jaipur - Delhi

After a leisurely breakfast, we spend some time in the local markets and then drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, check into your hotel. Evening is at leisure for your independent activities.

Day 07: Delhi – Amritsar (by Shatabadi Express train)

This morning experience an air conditioned deluxe tourist train journey to the Amritsar. The train departs from Delhi at 0720 hrs in the morning to reach Amritsar railway station at 1340 hrs. Upon arrival at Amritsar met with our representative. After warm welcome you will be transferred to your hotel.

Amritsar is the spiritual capital of Sikhism and also one of the ancient cities in India. The glorious Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib), Jallianwala Bagh and Indo-Pak border are the main tourist attractions here.

After wash and change drive to Wagah border (Indo-Pak border) which is the only border crossing between India and Pakistan. This historic entry point lies 22 kms from Amritsar between the cities of Amritsar and Lahore. People from both the sides and also from other countries visit here every evening to witness the ‘flag lowering ceremony’ which takes place every evening before sunset.

Later come back to your hotel for night stay.

Day 08: Amritsar – Delhi (by Shatabdi Express train)

Start your day with a visit to holy Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple). The Golden Temple or Harmandir Sahib or Darbar Sahib is situated in a large tank called ‘Amrit Sarovar’. Construction of Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) was started in 1574 on the land donated by great Mughal Emperor Akbar and the construction took about 27 years.

Head to another historical memorial of Jallianwala Bagh, a beautiful public garden located in the vicinity of Golden Temple. Spread over 6.5 acres of land, this garden is associated with the saddest day in the history of India’s Freedom Movement. During the protest time, this garden was a famous spot for meetings and protests but on 13th April 1919 on the occasion of one of the famous Sikh festival ‘Baisakhi’ over 20,000 people including women and children gathered here to protest the arrest of two Indian freedom leaders. As they were listening to the speeches of their leaders, the British General, Edward Dyer trapped the crowd inside the garden and ordered his army to open fire on the innocent, helpless and unarmed crowd. There was only one gate which was blocked by General Dyer and his army.

After visiting the memorial check out from your hotel and get transferred to railway station where you board your return train for journey to Delhi. Depart from Amritsar at 1650 hrs to reach Delhi at 2305 hrs.

You will met with our representative at Delhi railway station who is waiting here with the vehicle to transfer you to Delhi airport from where you will be boarding your flight back to home / next destination.

Day 09: Delhi Departure

In time, depart from Delhi airport as per your flight schedule.
